Got questions?  We have answers.
What exactly do you do?

I create for you a unique, individual movie of your day.  Your preferences, your personalities are
written into the movie, making it all yours; for you to enjoy any time you wish.

Before your big day, we arrange for a meeting t grants all of us the opportunity to become familiar
with each other.  This adds a level of comfort to all of us.  I learn your style, your choice of music,
and other things necessary to create a unique movie for and about you.

If your package contains a Love Story scene, we schedule time for that to take place before your
Wedding as well.

On your Wedding Day, we arrive as early as possible without causing you or your coordinators
concern, and begin our on-site planning.  We check the sound capabilities of your location,
choose the best camera angles, and set up the microphones for the best possible audio.

At your reception, we capture the important  events and interact with your DJ and photographer as
needed so we can all do our best for each other and for you.

Once all the taping is complete and the festivities are over, we begin our editing process.  This is
where the artistic tasks take place and can take 3 to 6 months or more to complete.  But don't
worry - it's worth the wait!

Why does Videography cost so much more than Photography?

Having performed several various Photography sessions as well, I must first say that Professional
Photographers are due a tremendous amount of respect.  I have always enjoyed working
side-by-side with them and for the most part, their talent and craft are stupendous.

Videography is different from Photography in several respects, the difference in cost being the
most sensitive.  Videographers' work is much more lengthy than photographers, specifically in the
Editing phase.  It is not uncommon for a Videographer or hired Editor to spend dozens of hours
editing a Wedding Video.  In short, it is hugely more time consuming than photography.

What can I expect from the final product?

The most important input concerning the details of the video is from you.  The more I know about
you and what  you enjoy (theme, music, etcetera), the more you will enjoy the video.  As we meet to
discuss your event, please provide us with as much information as possible concerning your likes
and dislikes so that we can meet your needs the best we possibly can.

A family member has offered to do our wedding video.  What's different
about what you offer?

The most significant difference between a professional videographer and a consumer is the
condition in which they are taping.  A professional is specifically hired to do only one thing - shoot
the wedding video with the client's requirements in mind.  A problem arises when a family
member or friend is responsible for the video taping in that there are times when the person is
torn between being a staff member and being a guest, risking missing a significant event.  The
second biggest difference is the level of video photographic talent which comes from specific
training, lots and lots of research, and experience performing professional shooting projects - not
to mention the most obvious, the professional level equipment.

I've seen wedding videos.  They're incredibly boring.  Why should I want to
hire a videographer?

No doubt, the wedding videos in the past, and even some today, can be very boring.  There are
reasons for this.

First, if it's not YOUR wedding, you will not find it as interesting as your own, for the dynamic of a
wedding video is very subjective, centered on the wedding couple.  I do NOT create wedding
videos for ANY OTHER PURPOSE than for the couple themselves.

Second, the craft of assembling a wedding video takes much artistic talent, time, and passion for
pleasing my client.  One can not simply point a camera at an event and magically have the best
parts just land on tape.  It takes a LOT of work, on location and in the editing time, to create an
entertaining wedding movie.

Third, a two- or three-camera event will ensure that interesting and entertaining angles are
captured, compared to a simple one-camera shoot.  A talented camera person is hard to find and
has an associated cost.

I would like to have you videotape our event, but we were not originally
planning for a videographer and our budget is tight.  What are your
different payment plans?
